This is a something about time.

I hate how time passes by but I don’t know what I’d do without it doing so.

New York City in the Night (By Deno)

My mom turned 58 today and I didn’t realize she was 58 until she said it.

It’s almost as if time stopped two years ago.

But it still flies faster for those I love. That seems to be the rule.

Across the street I see fairy lights below a neighbor’s curtains. For months, I thought they were blinking on the lowest branches of a stranger’s Christmas tree. Now I’m not so sure.

The weak lights inspired me to keep my tree up as long as I have. The early darkness that earth condemned us to is lifting is curtains. Even my plastic tree screams spring these days.

It is March. I’ve made it once again.

I hate how time passes by but I don’t know what I’d do without it doing so.
